CDA and plugins????

Is there any reason why CDA doesn't show the waves API plugs in it's plugin list. Also it seems as though when I make adjustments in plugs that there is a lag time. I'm new to this so maybe it's normal but it seems to me that when I'm running plugs in Cubase that when I adjust a parameter it's instantly apparent that I've done so. Is this a VST versus Direst X issue or maybe just the way it is.
One more question is that My UAD1 powered plugs don't work in CDA. They show up on the plugin list but the audio gets scrambled and skips if I apply them and won't stop until I remove the UAD1 plugs.

BTW I'm using a wrapper software from Cakewalk in order to use some VST plugs.

I think your issues are just CDA software related. I've loaded presets of Waves IRx etc, and measured their responses, input, output, etc, and notice differences and anomalies which don't occur in other softwares, and all the parameters measure diffeerent......

wierd. just CDA quirks I guess

Possibly depends on how many plugins you have set at the same time.

One drawback of CDA (that needs addressing !) it that all plugins on all the events (and master of course) are effectively running at the same time, increasing the CPU load to a point sometimes that realtime preview is impossible - this may also cause sluggish response. Not so much of a problem since CPUs got faster. Of course pre-rendering on burn is necessary in this scenario, and produces a flawless CD....

You could also try a different 'wrapper', or DX versions where possible.
