CDA stops in mid-burn / shuts off computer

I recently downloaded CDA along with SF 9 from the Sony site.
I had it before with SF 9 but had to re-load a new OS . . . XP Professional.
No problems before. Now, I can't complete a burn with the new software.
I have a NEC CD-RW NR-9100A burner. The computer completely shuts off and restarts in mid-burn.
Anybody ever hear of this? What should I do?

You certainly have a huge problem - but this is unlikely to be related to CD-A. Maybe PSU, or dodgy writer device/firmware or corrupted driver...

I took a data copy of the wav files to work. Have SF9 and CDA5.2.
CD burned fine. I noticed that the one at work did not have pre-render checked. The one at home did.
Could that have been it?

I'd have thought the "pre-render" one would have been less likely to fail ! Something dodgy about the OS, drivers, drive, or conflicting software at home ? Have you tried stopping AV while burning ?

This may be too obvious, but have you checked the power settings for the computer to be "Always On"? Sometimes when setting up, XP thinks it's on a laptop and will set-up the power saving features to shut down after a period of inactivity (as defined by movement of the mouse).

Just a thought...
