CDA V5.2c & SF 9.0c - Stop (Pause) Between Tracks

This is my first time to use CD Architect.

I want to write 225 MP3 files on a CD (227 MB). Each one is a song numbered 001-225, so I want them in numeric sequence.

Also, I would like the CD/DVD reader (which cannot be programmed to play in a given seuqence) to stop, not just temporarily pause, after playing the song I just selected. I do not want it to auutomatically start playing the next song.

I have been reading the manual I downloaded for this version and have not been able to accomplish what I want, especially the stop funcrion.

Is this possible with this program?
Is this possible with any program?

Any help would be appreciated, even if it is just pointing me to a specific part of the manual.

If you were making a red-book compliant audio cd - this would not be possible at all- there is a limit to 99 tracks.

I would leave this cd as a data cd, and not use architect in this instance. Create your audio as mp3 as you have stated with 001 - 225.
Put them in a folder, and add an autorun file to open up a web page with the list. Click and play is then possible for you. Alternatively, if you are able, wrap the files into something like a flash player. Both will allow only singular track play then stop...

Audio cd's are essentially designed to play track after track. If you want to have a stop-after-play action I would think probably going to a dvd-style methadology and having a script on each "chapter" to stop after playback would work too.

What is your intended target audience and format (genereic audio cd, computer, car , mp3 cd etc)- that's the first thing to consider before working out which option you have available.

(ps, I may be wrong on the odd detail above, so don't treat it as gospel).

Audio CDs are limited to 99 tracks and around 80 minutes. CD Architect is design soley for authoring CD-Audio discs.

You cannot program start/stop behaviour into a CD. No CDs do this - they just play thru. An individual CD PLAYER (hardware or software) may however have a "Play Single Track" function.

Maybe as Kennymusician says, you'd be better to leave it as an MP3 CD-ROM.....

Thank you everyone. It was a good education.

The purpose is to play a song in our Kingdom Hall (church) one at a time in different parts of the meeting.

I have already created a data CD and will manuall stop at the end of the particular song.

Again, thank you all. This forum helps me and everyone else a great deal.
