I have been reading so much about how this card/audio device will not place the sound in the center channel without bleed into the left and right channels.

This is FALSE.
The ASIO drivers work perfectly with no latencey.

To achive center channel only panning, simply TURN OFF the left, right and rear speaker icons in the 5.1 panner.
