Change ext editor defaults?

Is there any way to change the defaults in the text editor? E.g., font and font size, color of the text outline and shadow, leading? 72pt Ariel, with a yellow outline isn't a very useful default combination.

It really gets old in a hurry when you have numerous text inserts in a project and you have to reset all the variables in the text editor each time it is opened.

Once you have it the way you want it save it as a preset.
then call up that preset from the text tab.
Or what I do, is on my title track once I have set up a fnt size and placement, I always ctrl" click on that title and drag it to where i want the new one then select save a copy. then its jsut a matter of changing the words.

Good workaround. I've already got the preset, and the copy and past makes good sense. Thanks.

Still, changing the default settings would be a nice feature. Bringing the text editor into the 21st century would be a nice feature too!
