As many others do, I experience very slow preview rendering, even in Draft (Quarter). I was curious if it would be possible to do my editing with a downscaled version of my actual clips, then simply change the path to the full resolution once my editing work was done. In this way, I could work with very low resolution files, reducing the preview rendering time, but still get the full quality image in the final product.

Is there a way to do this, perhaps via scripting?
