Change position of Velocity Envelope in a video event on the timeline

In Vegas Pro 13 the Velocity Envelope tool was located in the middle of the video event (i.e. equidistant from top and bottom of the video event). On upgrading to Vegas Pro 15 I find the tool is now located extremely close to the bottom of the video event, making it very difficult to work with. Its very annoying as I work with the velocity envelope quite a lot.

Curiously the tool for adjusting the audio envelope has been left as before in the middle of the event.

Is there any way I can reset the standard position of the velocity envelope tool back to the middle of the clip? I've looked in preferences but can't find any setting that would do it.

This is because the velocity in VP14 and 15 can be adjusted from -100 to +1000%, compared to -100 to +300 in previous versions. I don't think the position can be changed. If you hold down CTRL while dragging the envelope, you get much more control.

Thanks for the insight Nick and the tip about holding down CTRL.

LOL!!! I still think it's nasty. Don't see why they needed to move it down there, it doesn't need to be representative of the %. Oh well - I shouldn't complain really, it's very much a first world problem. 🙂

Thanks again.

To be honest I don't care that the velocity is now -100 to +1000%. Put the envelope's default 0 position in the middle. I do more slow motion speed ramping than anything and the fact that this is still messed up in vp16 is ludicrous.
