Change Velocity for Group of Clips

I want to vary the velocity across a group of clips (a few dozen, most only a fraction of a second).

If I select them all and check "Insert Envelope > Velocity", I get a bunch of small velocity envelopes, one across each clip. Is there any way to connect them (i.e. create one velocity envelope)?

Manipulating each velocity envelope to make a small change in the overall velocity would be hugely inconvenient and time-consuming. Pre-rendering the video is not a solution, because I am going to be tinkering with both the velocity and the content of the clips while editing.

Suggestions?

No. The velocity envelope is an event level envelope.

However, there ARE more options. Here's two:

1. Use a script to add the desired velocity envelope at the desired speed to each of the selected events (or use a script to modify the velocity envelope that is already there).

2. Select the events, press "G" to group them, then hold down the CTRL key and resize the last one. This will change the speed of the event (faster if you make it smaller and slower if you make longer). Each of the events will be modified proportionally.
