Changing playback rate

I have a clip of length 4 second with playback rate 1.000 but when I change the playback rate of the clip to 0.5 the clip is still 4 second in length instead of 8 second. how to solve this one.
I need the clip to scale in length automatically based on my playback rate.
(P.S: I don't want to do CTRL+Drag thing to change my playback rate and length)

Changing the playback rate property only changed the rate it plays back, not the length, autmaticly. CTRL+drag changes the playback rate & the length.

You have to drag out the clip to 8 seconds length.

I just tested and CTRL+Drag changes the playback rate property & the length.

Actually, I want to do speed ramping. I'm using the video clip of 30fps at 100% speed and Twixtor to slow it down to 20% speed.
I'm applying Twixtor to 2nd Slice (1sec length) and slowing it down to 20% speed but after applying effect the clip is still 1 second only in length.
I want the clip to adjust in length according to the speed change in Twixtor.

If you adjust the speed without CTRL+Drag, you have to adjust the length of the event manually
