changing two channel sound to 5.1

Hi All

I've noticed some way into a project that my settings were such that as I have been pulling clips onto the timeline they have appeared as stereo clips instead of 5.1.

Is there a way I can change them to 5.1 without going back to the start and pulling them across again?

The clips themselves are 5.1 clips from a Sony HD Camcorder.

Thanks

Start in a 5.1 surround project.
Then add your audio.

Thanks Music vid but I was trying to avoid adding the clips again.

Maybe you could try changing the Project Properties to Audio=5.1, then drag the files in again to new tracks using the originals a reference; then, when happy, delete the old tracks. Save to a new name!

Thanks Christo, just tried and it's still a bit messy. I'll carry on regardless I think!
