Changing .wav to audio to 5.1

HI,
Is it possible to change the Stereo Audio track attached to the DV project to 5.1 surround sound.

If so how? any help would be appreciated

Just change the project properties (File-Properties) from stereo to 5.1. It takes the stereo and changes it to front left/right.
