Channels To Sell A DVD

Please provide any suggestions of distributors or online methods to sell a product.

So far, I have these venues in mind:

- Customflix and Amazon
- TotalVid
- eBay

Where else can a guy go? I enjoyed doing my production but I have to be honest I am coming up short in the marketing end.

Depends on the content of the DVD. For short films, Atomsfilms provides free viewing, but then you can sell your content as part of a DVD that they will create for you (i.e., you can click on the videos that you'd like to receive on DVD and they will custom create a DVD).

Thanks John, my dvd is basically a travel/tourist product of western canada. Probably does have an appeal outside of that crowd though.

You've probably already done this, but I would contact the board of tourism in BC and ask for their help. Same with all the other agencies in Vancouver and other major cities. You might also try some of the online travel agencies. They are always looking for new and innovative ways to out-hustle the competition. Perhaps they would want to offer the DVD.

I would certainly prepare excerpts that can be played online so that whatever outlet(s) you partner with, they can offer "teasers" on their site to entice prospects to buy.
