Chapter markers

BillRankin wrote on 6/25/2019, 9:35 PM

When .mpg file is imported to DVD Arch. 7, there are no chapter points on the timeline, but there are markers on the Vegas Pro 15 time from which the file was created. I have checked 'insert I-frames at markers' when rendering. But I cannot seem to transfer the chapter points to DVD Arch 7.

I am trying to burn a DVD with chapter points, but without a menu. Just so the viewer can fast forward to their performance. I am still 'relatively' new to Vegas Pro 7, coming from Premiere Pro. Any help is appreciated.

Under your render options you need to select "save project markers in rendered media file"

That was checked before the rendering process began.

It should work then. If there are not a lot of markers, the workaround is to enter them in DVDA. Could you post a screenshot of your render options with the abovementioned visible?

it will not let me post the screen shot

I don't have DVDA 7 so I don't know if this is a common problem. On the DVDA timeline there is an icon that allows you to load markers. Have you tried this? Otherwise, I cannot help.

I did not know about 'loading' markers. I will look for the icon

BillRankin wrote on 6/25/2019, 10:25 PM

Yes, it has the icon, but it is greyed out

If you have your video timeline open in DVDA it should not be greyed. It will be if you have a menu timeline or something else.

Also, I see you are rendering to a Program Stream. You should use the DVDA Architect templates, not the program stream. That could be the problem. You will need to render a separate audio stream as well using the template but DVDA will load them automatically.

Is there no way to just burn a DVD from Vegas Pro 15 with chapter points? and no menu?

BillRankin wrote on 6/25/2019, 10:43 PM

I will try the other template, and a separate rendering of the audio....

BillRankin wrote on 6/25/2019, 10:50 PM

how do I remove the menu timeline?
