Chapter Markers

New user here, hoping someone can help with my question. I've created a project within Vegas Pro 9 that includes Chapter Markers. I've successfully rendered the project and have created a simple two screen menu system within DVDA. The Chapter Markers came through into DVDA just fine and the links to the various markers point to the correct spots within the video. Here's my challenge... ideally I would like each of the Chapters to play as an autonomous clip. That is, when the viewer choses a specific Chapter, I want them to be able to view that Chapter only and then have the Menu page come back up so the viewer can then choose another Chapter. Currently, when the viewer choses a specific Chapter the DVD goes to that Chapter and plays that Chapter ALONG WITH all subsequent Chapters on the DVD. How do I get it to just show that specific Chapter and then go back to the Chapter Menu?

I've read about Playlists, Looped Menus, end actions and I can't seem to figure this out!!!! Any guidance would be much appreciated!

Create each chapter as a separate file. Then load them one by one into DVDA. Set the end action of each as desired.

Note that "chapter" refers to sections within the same "title", which is what you have created. What you want are separate "titles", where "title" in this context means a separate movie. (I hate this use of the word because each title has a name, also called a title, which can sometimes leading to confusion.)

I am not by any means an expert on this subject....BUT..I have done this several times...(Create menu buttons to select certain portions of a video and then return to the main menu.
First off....you have to bring in the same number of copies of your video from VMS as you have buttons. (if you have 5 menu buttons...bring in 5 copies of your VMS project into the DVDA time line) (Don't worry....this will not affect the size of the project in DVDA...this program only recognizes one copy of the VMS project)
Second: click a menu button then use the "yellow flags" in the timeline project to select the beginning and end points for this button selection. (Do this for all buttons).
To to return to the main menu after this button selection has played....select "end actions" in the button characteristics options for each button.

This was done WITHOUT having markers in the VMS project.

Hope this helps...

Good luck
