I'm a new DVD Architect 3 user. In our planetarium automation system, we utilize a pair of Pioneer DVD -V7400 players, remotely controlled via computers through rs232 plugs. At the beginning of a playback sequence these players are told to "specify chapter search mode" prior to playback of previously created DVD projects. The computer tells the DVD to search a chapter, remain in "still mode" and then at the appropriate time, play that chapter and then search for the next chapter. All works fine and dandy.
Using the newly burned DVD projects created by DVD Architect 3, the new DVD's play the correct chapter when input is performed via the Pioneer hand-held remote control unit, but does not respond correctly when DVD players are told by the computer to "specify chapter search mode" , search, still or play. The newly burned DVD's remain on the created opening menu and do not respond. Swapping out a non DVD architect 3 disc produces the desired results, so the problem doesn't appear to be in the computer software, Pioneer DVD players, but the DVD created by the Architect 3 system.
The DVD controlling program functions correctly using previously burned DVDs using an older My DVD software, but the chapter search function doesn't respond when DVD Architect 3 disks are inserted into the Pioneer DVD players. Is there a preference setting I'm failing to specify prior the burning of the project on DVD Architect 3?
Any suggestions would be appreciated.
Thanks Bob Kelley, San Antonion College, Scobee Planetarium
