chapter points. help plzzzz

When editing my movie on sony dvd architect 2.0 I add chapter points to my movie, but when I go into my workspace and preview the movie. I go into scene selections and from there I can view my chapters. The thing is all my chapters end at the same point/position in the movie. But what I would like to do is end the previous chapter before the next chapter begins.
Can this be done …if so can you help me please..

Bring the same media file into the project overview as many times as you need difeerent chapters. For each instance, set the in and out points on the media timeline to define what section of the media will be played.

Drag the adjusted copies of the media to the menu page.
