Chapter rendering

In rendering files to use in DVD Architect, my success at having the markers be rendered as chapter markers is intermittent. I always check that the box is checked before I render, but sometimes I get the chapter markers and sometimes I don't. Is anyone else having this problem? I am beginning to suspect it may have to do with whether I use one of the default rendering setups (it works) or if I use a custom setting for rendering (it doesn't) but I'm not sure.

When you open DVD-A, and you put in the media you want to render, you should be able to doubleclick on the media and it will take you to another screen with a timeline. You may have to zoom in on the timeline a bit, but all your markers should show up there. If they are not there, then you can add them from that point. (yeah, I know it's a hassle) I usually always add my chapters from DVD-A and use the preview in DVD-A to check for precision. There is an Icon on the bottom of that screen, about 3rd from left. It is a button to add chapters. Just place your cursor on the timeline at the right place and hit that "Chapter" button. You can write a "Title" to the chapter, if you wish or it will number the chapter for you. You may have to zoom in to get to the exact spot you want. (I know you want to know what causes the markers to sometimes show up or not, but I always do my chapters this way, so I can't answer.)

Thanks for the reply. I do know about adding them in Architect, and have done it, but you're right, it's a hassle if I've already gone to the trouble of determining in Vegas where I want them, and then have to do it again. I bring it up here because I want Sony to address the problem - but lately I'm beginning to wonder if anyone is working there anymore. I've been waiting over 8 months to have a drive burning issue corrected - on a Sony drive no less.
