Chapter Select Menu Problem

Hi Everyone,
I remember having this problem when I was making a project way back in version 5.0, but I can't seem to find my thread from back then. I created a simple menu with just a "Play All" button which plays my 12 tracks in my playlist sequentially. I also created a Chapter Select Menu, but when I start from within the menu, only that particular track plays. I want to start from that point, not just play that video. Can anybody help me out with doing this? I think it's a setting somewhere, but it's been so long since I've used DVDA that I've forgotten where. Thank you very much!! Jay

Your Chapter Selection Menu is a Scene Selection Menu, right? It's one video that you've just added scene markers too, right?

If so, then starting from any chapter will play through to the end of the video.

If it's actually several videos that you'd like to play in sequence from a start point, then you'll need to create a playlist.

Did you create a playlist for the play all, or did you create the end action of each video to go to the next video?

If you created an End Action to link each video, then it should work.

If you created a Playlist, then you need to create a new playlist for the chapter button.

Thanks guys. My movie is made up of about 12 different Vegas files, so I guess what I need to do is create playlists that delete the first track off each time I want to increment the chapter number. I'll give this a try first. I'll let you know if I run into problems.

That's how I do it in DVDA 6.0 - a playlist for each title at the start of the list, with the subsequent titles following it in the playlist.

I could never get "End Action" to work consistently in Scene Selection Menus when it came to playing subsequent ttiles after playing the selected one. Playlists get the sequencing correct, every time.

Just to make sure, I arrange the titles in order in the "Order Titles" menu as well. It's probably not necessary with the playlists, but one of the things "Order Titles" is supposed to do is reduce the time between title playback by placing the titles at sequential locations on the disc (takes less time for your player to find the next title).
