I would have to say NO, you CAN bring in chapter points with a MPEG rendered
file into DVD-A. I managed to render a file in MPEG and opened it in DVD-A and
the chpater points were there! I would assume that chapter points are the same
as markers, because when I created the 16 chapters in Vegas 4.0 I used the letter
"M" from the keyboard to insert the chapter point. I was also able to autocreate
link chapters in DVD-A.

THE ONLY THING I CAN'T DO IS BURN THE DAMN THING WITHOUT GETTING AN ERROR MASSAGE!

hmmmm... I tried clicking the "Load Markers" button, but nothing happened.

I'll have to try again.

Thanks

Hey Beatnik...
I'm unable to burn from DVD-A, too (there's a thread in this forum about burning coasters), but someone else mentioned using DVD-A to design and "prepare" the DVD file, and then using Nero to actually burn the DVD, thus getting around DVD-A's problem.
I don't know if you have Nero -- but if you do, try that approach.
I was burning coasters in DVD-A, but I tried burning the "prepared" file via Nero, and now everything is fine: design and prepare in DVD-A, and do the actual burning in Nero. (If you don't have Nero, this is no solution, of course...)

MadMikey,

Did you happen to copy the MPEG file you are loading into DVDA from another folder/computer? If so, you'll also need to bring over the .sfl file, as that is where markers and other metadata is stored for an MPEG file rendered by Vegas 4.

Thanks SonicTSW,

That may be the problem. I'll check it tonight.
