would anybody else find this useful?

It would be nice to be able to control playback from within a the Video Event FX control window. I often need my Video Event FX control window, large enough that it covers the timeline playback controls. Then you have to move it and go back to the timeline to get it to play. Open up the Velvet Matters Rays FX and its 15 sliders and see what I mean.

There's an updated version available on the downloads page. It contains fixes for:

1. Crashing caused specifying a custom install location.
2. Crashing under non-US versions of Windows. The fix has been tested and verfied under Norwegion, Danish, French and US version, but _not_ German yet. If you have a German OS, I'd definitely appreciate hearing from you. (EDIT: It has since been verified under German Windows as well.)

If it's working fine for you, I don't see any reason to download the update.

Thanks for all the help, compliments, and suggestion in this thread. I'll go through all the posts later and address them when I'm not completely exhausted :)

thanks

Richard

VERY nice looking effects! Very sexy.
It's a bit pricey for my blood. I'd have been more comfortable with $99.00, personally.
Still, those effects are probably worth the asking price. I'm just not making that much money to justify the expense right now. That's on me.
I love the look, but agree, a little tweeking on the interface and controls would be nice. I'd like to be able to see my target and sourse (on the Rays, for example) and be able to change those interactively - like I do in Boris, etc. That's been suggested above.
I'd also like the ability to SEE my mask right there from the plug-in. Being able to see the mask from, for example, Chroma Key or CC is wonderfuly useful. Seeing the mask would improve my understanding of what I'm doing and I'd be able to control things better, I think.
I was able to use the clip's Mask and duplicating tracks in order get the Rays to affect only the windows of the church. I didn't like that the lamps (or wall lights) were casting rays also, so I was able to get that to work, but seeing the mask would have helped a lot.
Other than that, I felt the interface was intuitive and simple to navigate.
And, as mentioned, the results are absolutely beautiful!

Bought it now. Definetely most valuable for my work - very flexible adjustments and a very good quality provided.
I consider Radiance a well worth addition to the given Vegas CC tools.

Just wanted to see if the help file was in circulation yet as well if there was a post where some of the questions that were brought up were addressed.

busterkeaton,
in regards to your mention on the playback controls-
This is exactly the reason I duplicate the playback controls in the Customize Toolbar so they are on the top of the screen "where they belong". I have asked many times over the last six years for Madison to move those controls off the middle of the display. They will always get hidden when a winodw opens up like FX.

I purchased this plug-in for my computer at work and love them! Paid for themsleves already!
I'd REALLY like to purchase them or my home computer, but i keep that one off-line and, so far, there's no way to register the product off-line. I'm bummed. But I'm keeping the faith that some day (soon, I hope) there will be an off line solution to get these plug-ins on my computer. They're sweet!

Thanks Gary.

Some one emailed that same idea after I posted.

It is a very good idea. I use it constantly.
