Try do complete reset by holding Ctrl+Shift when running MSP17, and do clear cache.

Hello, I also cannot import .mts in Movie Studio 17 platinum (trial).
It was the first action in the app.
The suggestion of Ctrl+Shift at start of the app does not work. (maybe in Vegas)
I removed the folder ...\AppData\Local\Movie Studio Platinum\17.0 to be sure that all settings are gone.
Problem persists.
Has the support for .mts files been stopped?
There is a problem with the latest Windows 10 update to version 20H2 buildnr.19042.928.
When your MTS file has surround sound the program freezes after selecting such a file.
When the file has only stereo sound no problem with this.
