Just a note that might interest Vegas users. We're currently producing our 4th broadcast special using the Vegas product. The first was entitled http://www.boundbycourage.com and the most recent is a documentary tribute to legendary rockers Chicago.

Need assistance in the following markets. Atlantic City, Suffolk County (LI), Philadephia, Atlanta and Chicago. If you can contribute some of your expertise, please email us -- our goal is to get this great group of musicians inducted intp the R&R Hall of Fame!

Thanks,

I don't know how much I can help, but I'd love to know more and get involved. I'm a Vegas rookie, but a full-time Avid editor in Champaign, IL, about 2 1/2 hours south of Chicago, and a big-time Chicago fan from the Chicago Transit Authority album. The link you gave didn't work for me. Where can I find out more?

Normally I do not post these types of things in forums but with these people and the event it concerns I feel I have to.

After the terrorist attacks on September 11, 2001 Amy and Lou managed to 'sneak' into lower Manhattan and into the locked down area under the guise of working. As they were 'working' they proceeded to shoot video and give many interviews to various netowrks in the weeks after September 11, 2001. At one point even "bragging", saying that if anyone saw video from inside the work area, on any network, it was video they had shot. For well over a year these two would do interviews saying they were contacted and hired by the FDNY to be the "official" video crew documenting the recovery efforts. They were not ever contacted by the Department and the FDNY video section only has knowledge of them because a stock footage house was selling Amy and Lou's video as "footage shot by the official FDNY video team." They changed their story a bit when the Department caught on to them, now Amy and Lou like to say (THis is direct from thier website) "The NYPD initially had its own video unit at Ground Zero, but they were gone," Angeli said. "When the towers collapsed, they were all lost in the derbis." Again, a bold lie. The NYPD video production unit was very active and, like the FDNY, never contacted or hired Amy or Lou. In some interviews they have also said that FEMA hired them to shoot, also not true. These two *may* have given their footage to the NYPD, FDNY and/or FEMA but they were never contacted or hired by them. They have also contacted many people who live in Manhattan, or shot video concerning the events in lower Manhattan, telling about how they were making a film for the FDNY and needed footage. They are now trying to sell (re-sell) some of this footage as material they shot or own the rights to, again direct from their website - "All footage appearing in "Bound By Courage" has been recorded, or is represented, by the producers."

From the disclaimer they have put up for this Chicago project it seems they may have learned a bit from their past 9/11 scheme. On the link Lou has given, down at the bottom is says: "Neither the producers nor the project are associated with the rock group Chicago, HK Managment, Rhino Records, etc."

So beware - If you do choose to deal with Amy or Lou *check* with all parties they may claim to have been hired by. Also be aware of what footage they ask you for is to be used for and *keeps tabs on it/them*!
