Choppy Video / Slow Rendering

Basically I'm dealing with a Canon XF100 file format MXF and trying to get the best video to edit with. I have Pavtube MXF Converter and just trying to figure out what codec to convert the MXF files to so I can edit easily and render easily. I don't want to lose the HD clarity though and wanting the videos to look close to film quality. If anyone can help me I can stop stressing myself out :(

Filming in highest resolution at 24p

Rather than convert this video (which may make it LESS compatible than it currently is) just make sure you shoot in 60i.

But are you sure you want to try to edit video from this $3000 professional camcorder on a simple little $75 editing program? This video format (which uses a professional codec that Vegas Movie Studio may have trouble with) will be much better supported on Vegas Pro.

Editing this video on Vegas Movie Studio is like trying to tow a 20 foot trailer with a little Hyundai Elantra.

Thank you for the suggestion I'm going to download the free trial tonight after work and try to use the MXF file in it and see what happens.

Also I was debating on Vegas Pro it talks about the GPU being something that helps with previewing and rendering?
