@rik : You've been around for some time now. We need more DATA. Or you could do a search here for “constant crashing” and read those threads.

Yes...i've been a long around even before sony...

That's what's bothers me...don't know anything what could cause this crashing.

It's a new project...so the problem can be related to this....although the videofiles are the same location as previous projects...and my workflow is always the same....no plugins also...cannot give more info...

Disabled..enabled..a dozen things....it's solved at last by ....disabling my firewall.

@rik does your solution still work ? or has the crashing started again ?

Some times the crashing here stops for some time after rebooting.

And you're still connected to the INTERNET? I’m trying to establish with you is it that YOU disabled your FW or come off of the INTERNET?

Everything s solved now without disabling/resetting my firewall

@rik just to understand correctly and because it might help many people: If you enable your firewall then Vegas will crash within a short time ?

What brand of firewall do you use ? Here I use Windows Defender too plus Kaspersky - and sometimes Vegas crashes like crazy and sometimes not for many hours - and it does not matter if Kaspersky is on or off, it seems.

I use Zone Alarm firewall.
