Christmas List

Well, I think it's about that time. SF is gonna love me
for this one, but I think it's about time we started a post
which listed the bugs we would like to see fixed, and
hopefully we can have a fully working Vegas 2.0b by
Christmas. :-)

Mine:

1.) Make sure all waveforms draw out when recording,
eventhough Simultaneous Play & Record is On.

2.) Make it so Vegas doesn't have to go back and "Redraw"
the waveforms when you're done recording. This happens
when you record a large number of tracks at once. All
Waveforms draw out while it's recording and then you
hit "pause" and Vegas has to go back and redraw all the
waveforms one at a time although it just finished drawing
them while recording. When I owned Adats I had a reason to
tell the band to wait, before they got to hear playback, I
had to hit rewind and then wait for the Adats to Sync up.
Now I'm waiting for waveforms to redraw.

3.) Make it so I can enter numerical values in Simple Delay
FX.

4.) Make it so I can adust parameters in realtime using the
Multitap delay FX...and have it actually correspond to what
I should be hearing.

5.) Make "Open copy In Sound Forge" do just that (ie mono
doesn't turn to stereo and levels are not different from
original waveform.)

6.) Make it so Takes number numerically correct in the
Media Pool....not Record 1,Record 10,Record 11, Record
2,Record 20,Record 3..etc.

Well, there's my Christmas List, I know there's others, but
those are the ones that concern me right now.

Merry Christmas everyone!!!!

I too would like these and def. want the waveform draw after stop
recording to just show up without everyone sitting and looking at
the screen draw.My customers are so used to having the speed of daws
that they expect to walk into control room and instantly listen to
take. Can someone explain why this program cannot redraw instantly
like others I use??
Curious.
I hope xmas comes Nov. 1st.!!!

If you set up the media pool to sort by date/time column, you should
get what you want.

Hi

And plus:

1. Direct monitoring support (With cads that support direct
monitoring).
2. Punch in/out on fly.
3. Asio 2 compatibility
4. Total automatization of the parameters of the plugins.
5. Harware controler support, like JLCooper devices.
6. Direct support for sincro with most popular multitrack machines,
like Adat.
7. Master, with the posibility of use diferent types like, stereo,
surround, 5.1, 7.1 (Using the diferents outpus of a card)
8. A special pan for surround.
9. mpeg support.
10. Better effects, like a solution for a unpredecible feedback
parameter in the multitap delay, or good sounding reverb, or better
interface in the multiband dinamics (Like the C4 of waves), etc.
11. The use of two processors by the plugins in dual processor
machine.
12.Support for use a multiple processors of a net (Clustering), for
example: use the old machines in a net for compute certain effects or
render.

Kind regards

Say that again !!!

Hardware control!!!!

Mixing with the mouse SUCKS!!!!

hardware control!!!! Even that peavey cakewalk thingy would be great
for this

Hey, you guys this a Christmas list, of getting rid of unwanted bugs,
haven't you noticed, everytime we get new features, we also get new
bugs, that's the law of software programming. I would love all
those features also, but first I just want the one's that we
currently have to work :-)

I third that motion!! Hardware controller support!!! I was used to
using the Spectral system with a CS-10 controller. I would fly with
that thing. Now with four really nice software controllers out there,
it would nice to use one if them. :( Although a rep from Event said
that it's being worked on by our friends here at Sonic Foundry.
Anyone have a date?
