Chroma key function in new version messed up??

Hi there,

I'm working with a lot of green screen footage all the time, and I'm really shocked to find out that the slider called ' Blur amount' inside the chroma keyer (green screen) is not working properly anymore in the lastest version of Vegas??

Usually this slider would soften the edges a bit, making my chroma keyed footage look better, but now, as soon as I touch it, it messes up the entire screen!

Is this just on my computer, or can anyone reproduce it please?

(version 11 built 595 64 bit)
(version 11 built 594 32 bit)

Thanks !

It does not work the same way as it it did in earlier versions here - it's kind of "heavier". I can't fine adjust the way it was possible in earlier versions.

Try holding down the Control key while you are operating the slider. It seems to give a finer adjustment.

Yes, but it is in general 10 times rougher as it was in previous versions.

I think we found ourselves a giant 'BUG' here :(

It's not just ' rougher' the effect it is supposed to create is not possible anymore, because there is horizontal stripes and distortion all over the working area at the slightest touch...the CTRL key does not work for me.

It's in fact unusable like this, I'm gonna try and find the previous version somehow...

I can't repro this one here. On my system with build 595 the chroma key blur function in general works fine. I only have a problem with it's working ten times rougher.

Did you try turning off GPU accelaration? I don't use that.

Thanks Fuchs,

Actually I had GPU acc. turned OFF but turning it ON somehow solved the problem, really weird isnt it?

Have a nice weekend,
