Chroma Smoothing? Newbie question

Hello,

I was wondering if there is anyway way to smooth just the chroma channel? I heard that its a non destructive smooting, that alot of the detail remains, I also heard that they use is in filmlook techniques, is it possible to do this is VV?

hmmm it looks like there are some interesting settings in the Pixelan Chromawarp plug in. you can't do what you want directly, but you might be able to use it to generate two images, one of which could be blurred, and then somehow recomposite them.

you can go:
RGB --> HSV
RGB --> HLS
RGB --> YUV
RGB --> XYZ

and you can do the opposite of all those too. I don't quite understand what they all mean so I'm not sure you can accomplish your mission. maybe someone else can fill us in on what those filters would do and if you can somehow split the video, blur one stream, then recomposite them.
