"Your opinion on the ADVHCD cameras anyway?"

AVCHD cams are Fast, efficient, and effective. and the avchd format has huge potential, but I don't think it's quite there yet. Give it a bit more time though. For the moment (IMO)... mpeg2 (hdv) is probably the better bet. Having said that though, I would have no objections own a avchd cam, just haven't had the excuse needed yet to go and buy one.

Sorry guy.... I don't hand out the email without a pretty substantial reason. You seem to have A LOT of questions and I wouldn't be able to handle the flow on my own anyway :)
No reason why you can't use the board for questions... that's what it's there for. Those who feel like answering.... will.

Thanks Blink - I understand.

I was actually going to ask you about ACHVD cameras - and I think you have answered it.

If these are no more updates to the HC9 this year I will buy one.

I was talking with AVCHD support guru from Cineform at NAB about NEO with Vegas and the new Panasonic solid state cams including the HMC-150. His advice was the AVC decoder in Adobe CS3 is excellent but if you don't have that buy the CoreAVC.com decoder. Cost is a whopping $14.95 for the pro edition from Core.
