CineForm Neo Scene 1.0.3 beta (only here)

David Newman wrote on 1/23/2009, 1:20 PM
I'm posting this here for a weekend public beta as only mainly Vegas users where impacted. The Neo Scene trail now expires in a more friendly manner, only disabling further encoding after the trial ends. Upon trail expiration, the product basically turns into Neo Player, the free decoder kit, with no annoying pop-ups and existing CineForm AVIs will continue play. At any later time you do purchase a license, the encoder, transcoding and pulldown removal features are simply turned on again. For those who have tried before, the new download will extend you trial peroid.

good news...Thanks, David.
I just installed Neo Scene trial two nights ago. So I can just install this over the top of the current install without uninstalling?

The link works for me.

When updating any of our products, it is always best to un-install first to make sure you have the latest of every component (not required, but is still advised.) Make sure you aren't running any video tools (Vegas, VirtualDub, etc) when doing the uninstall. The uninstall is very fast, only a few seconds, and a new install only 30 seconds or so.

Well David... that's just not good enough. Why should we have to pay any money at all? Take this deal back and try again :)

Any advantage of this beta for licensed users?

By the way, I'm really liking Neo Scene so far. :-)

Me, too. I really needed 1920x1080, but I didn't need it bad enough to spend the $500 for HEO HD, but I did need it bad enough to spend $129. I'll bet NEO Scene is selling like hotcakes.

Yes, it is selling well.

For existing license holders there is no urgent need to upgrade, although 1.0.3 is using a lightly newer codec components which are always being enhanced.
