cineframe, cineform and 24,25p

Guys,
I'm a bit confused on the differences on how to capture the raw material.

Is it better to film/tape in sonys cineframe 24(or 25) or not?
If I capture at 29.97 fps avi can this then be rendered to 24p in vegas' render settings?

Now in reading cineforms web page their software says it will produce a cleaner 24p image.

I do not like the 29.97 fps look and so I did some work for testing and found as I render to 24 fps in vegas it does look a bit blurry when movement occurs.

What would be the most beneficial way of capturing the video?
and then would I use Cineform to capture the video???

How do these things work exactly,

As a wed videographer I am used to...aim, shoot, capture, edit, render, burn. ; )

I did some testing of my own with my Sony Z1U a while back with CineFrame 24 and CineForm and as it turns out, the two together produce some spectacular results. I shot CineFrame24 with the Z1 and captured using CineForm HDLink with the Remove 3-2 Pulldown (Sony CineFrame24 adn P2 1080p24) option and the results were spectacular. Much better than capturing the CineForm24 direct to Vegas and outputting as 24p. I believe the reason is that CineForm compensates for the strange way the CineFrame24 does it's telecine and does the pulldown correctly back to 24p. The deinterlacing was better and the motion was smoother.

CineForm also has a 25p to 24p converter when capturing so that is another option. I did not try that.

JR,
thanks for that advice. I'm gonna have to get cineform and do that.
I look foward to seeing the results.

Thanks so much for the time to advise.
