Cinescore in V8

Cinescore 1.0C will not operate in V8, the areas are greyed out when you right click and the double note in the tool bar is greyed out. After installing V8 Cinescore creates message when opened separately that "aacaenc.dll" cannot find, then the second time you click to open it opens up OK. But it still won't open in V8.

Hmmm... I'm still on CS 1.0b, and working fine in V8. Will you report this JJK?

Best regards,

Grazie

Hmmmm? I am running XP Pro and Cinescore 1.0c runs fine in both Vegas Pro 8 and DVDA 4.5.

<edit> Cinescore 1.0c was installed before I installed Vegas Pro 8 and DVDA 4.5.

I'm on Vista 64 and it works great but I think that is because of the way I installed it. Prior to installing Vegas 8, I uninstalled Cinescore, and then installed Vegas 8, and then reinstalled the download 1.0C version of Cinescore. The reason I did that was I sure they would find some way of screwing up the linking to the Cinescore plugin otherwise, and from what you say it turns out I was right.

Anyways try uninstalling Cinescore only, download 1.0C and then reinstall it and see if that clears up the problem for you. Make sure you also uninstall the Cinescore plugin when you are unstalling Cinescore, check the Add/Delete Control Panel programs window to make sure it is gone.

Hi

I'm just made a reinstall of XP and C1c works well in VP8.

OK now. Cold boot. The one project I had had an empty video track under the original sound track and I thought it was a sound track. When you highlight a video track the Cinescore doesn't work. Everything is so technical nowadays.

FYI,

There is a file called CINESCOREPLUGIN10_enu.msi that will install the plugin into VP8 without having to uninstall Cinescore 1.0c.

I simply installed v8, no uninstalling etc - and my version is fine - so it's not all of us.

I tried installing CINESCOREPLUGIN10_enu.msi but it kept telling me that the installation ended prematurely and nothing has been modified. I even uninstalled it and tried reinstalling it. I then went to repair it and the same thing. I cannot use Cinescore in Vp8 as it is greyed out. I can use it as a stand alone app. It worked fine in 7. I was using cinescore 1.0a and after finding out it was greyed out I changed to 1.0c and installed that to no avail.

Edit: If I copy and paste from Cinescore into Vp8 I can then click the eighth note icon on the generated music and the plugin comes up. I just can't start it from the "insert" menu.

You need to select an area on an audio track to "un-grey" the menu.
