Well it gets tricky to identify...givin my workflow. But , in general-no Vegas is not producing clicks when I render.

The problem is- if I record 3 minites of narration I will hear sporadic clicks as I am tracking. I will record say, one sentance (10 seconds) , check the voice take and move on. Sometimes when checking the voice take, there will be pops. Since I have not found a solution and they seem random I have to keep going (deadline!!). So unless there is a blatent pop that replays (repops) over several auditions, I render out, hoping that the pop wont be in the render. I then listen to the rendered movie and find any pops that did make it out of Vegas (weather in the render process or pops that were recorded in the file before hand-who knows). I go back to Vegas re- record the "bad" takes> bounce> check again..ect.

I even have to replay the rendered movie if it pops to make sure it was not a playback error in the player!!!!

So it seems that some are being recorded in and some are artifacts of playback.

Either way its quite a nightmare with a pending deadline. I have to keep working. I would like to wipe out my system and start clean but im not convinced that is the problem.

Gotcha.

Try this once.

Disable SRP from the options menu. This will let Vegas only open the inputs and not the outputs. (The difference between Forge and Vegas is that Forge only does one thing at a time.

Now record something and see if you get clicks in the recording.

Also, try recording from both and analog source and a digital source if one or the other is causing a problem. Make sure when recording from the digital source that you tell the Echo hardware to use the SPDIF clock and when recording from the analog source to use the internal clock source.

Disable SRP

I notice an improvment here. Ill keep testing, Thanks
