Closed captioning scan

Hey all,

I have Vegas 12 Pro.

My problem may not be a real problem just not sure what's going on.

I import a video which has closed captioning in. After inserting in timeline it scans the closed captioning.

But I don't have any markers in the timeline.
I have tried to export closed captions but the file it suppose to create isn't created, NADA!
So I assume something isn't going right.

Yes I'm sure the video DOES have closed captions.
Maybe just not readable in vegas.

This is a video of over the air broadcast (Local)

Not sure If It is possible to do or not.

Want to export out of vegas and into DVDA 6 pro.

Any help would be appreciated.

Brad,
It might help us if you specified the video format/container.

If you cannot see the embedded markers, I am not sure you can access them.

If the embedded markers are visible, you can run the "Promote Media Closed Captions" script which will create the markers that you can manipulate, including exporting for various platforms..

+1

The first step is to use Promote Media Closed Captions to create the markers on the timeline. Then everything else (like viewing and exporting) should work as expected.
