My committment to exploring social subjects (including politics) means I have to monitor cable news. For instance I have a whole box of VHS tapes with subject "Election 2000." But even though I am racking up for better quality and volume, I will always need more to put together documentary projects, and am thinking there must be some organized way to pool subject resources.

Given the going rate of stock footage, much less network off-air rates that are billed by the second, this seems like a no-brainer.

I sure would appreciate any references.
