i am trying to use a short video clip that is already on dvd. i am using a ripper to convert it. which is the best codec to use as i am getting distortion with some of the codec. thanks.

i don't think that really helps my problem. i need to rip a dvd and have tried a couple of programs. problem is you pick different codec to use. without having to go through so much trial and error i was trying to find which one is best. i tried a couple and the quality was poor. this is for church and i need to take some short stuff out of praise and worshp dvd's. so i guess i'm looking for the best dvd ripper and which codeck is best for qukality.
