Click MakeMovie, Write movie to file on your disk, Advanced Render. Choose Video for Windows(*.avi) for the Save as type:, then click Custom, Video. Pull down the Video format: menu and choose a codec listed there.

You also might want to try rendering to an MPEG-1 file. MPEG-1 is probably even more universal than either Cinepak or Indeo. I don't know of a OS that doesn't have an MPEG-1 player.
