anyone have any thoughts about this vs lagarith?

have to manipulate some footage and wondering if there's any major differences / advantages between them....

They are quite similar. Some say UT video codec is faster and more efficient, but IMHO as both are lossless codecs, difference in not significant.

UT is about 25% faster than Lagarith. These are the mathematically lossless RGB flavors.
