Say you have two events where you want to adjust hue. Apply the color corrector filter to the first event, set a key frame. Apply the color corrector filter to the second event. Go back to the frist event right click on the diamond (key event) select copy from the menu choices. Apply key frame to second event. Right click on 2nd event's keyframe, select paste. Be aware that filters get applied from the point APPLIED. So for best results your keyframes should be first frame in each event, fine tune afterwards if necessary.
For true sampling only Vegas is limited. While there is a eyedropper tool it only reports RGB values you can't select a color and drop it like you can in Photoshop.
Lets say you're trying to match somebody's shirt color in two different events.
1. Add a temp. new track. Go to Media Generators, solid color, drag to new track. Don't matter, any color.
2. Move your cursor over the frame you want to sample.
3. Click on eyedropper tool in preview window and the RGB values will change.
Use the color corrector to adjust. Sadly the RGB values don't show there so you would have to do the above for both events then you'll at least know the difference in the RGB value. Maybe my tutorial #3 will help:
