I recently filmed a concert with a digital 8 camera. The venue was rather dark so the camera's light filtering system lightened it up. However, the picture looks a little washed out and drab. Is there an easy way to bring out more color for the entire film.
I usually start with an "S" curve in color curves. This will enhance the color. You can also add some contrast there bringing the low end down. I also find using the color corrector in conjuction works well. Billy boys tutorials will help.
Do this affect the rendering time? I finished and started the render and it was at 17 hours and still climbing when I cancelled it. It's a 75 minute show, it usually takes me about 1 1/2 to render something this long.
Yes any effects will hit your render time. However, I find that the estimates are based on what section Vegas is rendering. If it's a slow complex effects area it thinks the rest of the project is the same which can be misleading.
