Is there a way around the multicamera limitation to filters being applied to events?

Normally I always need to tweak the colors a bit to get my cameras to match in a multiple camera shoot. I do this before I chop up the shots.

But in Vegas Pro 8 it throws away all the filters when it engages multiple camera mode, and it looks like one can't attach a filter just to one take of an event.

So how would one color correct to keep multiple cameras matching? It's not practical to do it manually after the multicamera editing is done, it's something that needs to be done before you chop up your clips.
