color correction of 2nd camera

I'm editing videos shot on two cameras. The secondary camera, a Sony VX1000, is notorious for needing color balancing before shots, which was not done. Is there a quick and easy way to automatically correct these clips, or a really easy way to correct them to match the primary camera's clips? Every time I look at the instructions on using the color corrector wheels my eyes glaze over. :p

Yeah....
Load the shots from both cams, finding a point where it's effectively the same shot on both cams.
with the good cam showing in the preview window, set your preview to BEST/FULL and copy image to clipboard.
Now, have only the second cam/VX cam images showing in preview window, set preview back to Preview/Full or auto. In the preview window, split the screen using the split screen tool. In the drop down menu, select "show clipboard." Now draw a rectangle across the preview, so you can see half the screens filled with each image.
Now, use the color corrector tool on the VX cam til you see it approximate what your desired output should be. While you may not know how to use the scopes, this is a good time to learn by simply watching what you're doing with color correction, with the scope turned on. Look at the scope display of the "good" shot, and try to somewhat approximate this with the "bad" shot and color correction. I'd recommend starting with the color curves plug before starting in with the color correction plugs. Don't forget the color balance tools either. They are quite powerful.

Thanks for trying. I tried messing with this and I just can't figure it out. If I select color corrector plug-in for the good shot those three color wheels pop up, are those those the "scopes" you speak of? They all just seem to show nothing. I used the plug-in on the 2nd cam shots and they seem to have no effect on the video, unless I draw a rectangle in the preview windo, then everything but what is inside the drawn rectangle changes color. I could not be more confused or intimidated by this feature.
