Color grading question

Did anyone try this in 32-bit?

It sounds like the difference could be that MB uses 32-bit throughout, whereas V7 (or V8 in 8-bit mode) would truncate to 8 bits after each step.

No, it's not that. It's just that MB applies colors/gradients etc under specific conditions, that are not easily replicatable with the default tools and lots of masks/etc.

As for buying or not MB, I don't know yet. I am shooting a music video clip for a friend singer soon, and if I need it, I will get it.

But afaik you don't need to buy it - your V6 and/or V7 license includes MB Movie Looks HD???

I only have VMS7, VMS8 and VegasPro8.

No, where is that? I have a (legal) OEM version of Pro btw.

It was Boris Graf LTD! - Not MB.

Have a look at the UPDATES for V5 - see the MB Movie looks? Are these the ones in question?

Grazie

I bought V6 + DVDA, upg to V7 ... both included Movie Looks HD as well as Boris. Since I bought MB Editors suite as well, and have now paid for my upgrade to VP8, maybe I can give my Movie Looks license to Eugenia???? Would be happy to, if it's legal

Thanks, much appreciated. If you have no further use for it and it is legal to do so, I would love to use it. Thanks!
