COM Object failed to initialize... what's this??

I have upgraded to Vegas Video 2.0b... both the "main"
program and the Video Capture program.

Now when I try to print a rendered file to DV tape, or even
preview a file through my DV camera, the Video Capture
program fails with this error message:

"An error occurred while printing a file to the device.
The COM object failed to initialize."

What's going on? More important... how can I fix it?!?

Many thanks in advance to whoever knows the answer...
Ernie

ps: just to make sure the problem isn't in the rendering
process, I captured a new clip from my DV camera into the
computer, then tried to put the same file back to tape,
without having made any changes at all to the file. VidCap
failed with the message quoted above.

There's a bug in the 2.0b installer when updating...The
work around is to uninstall Video Capture and then install
the Video Capture 2.0b. This work around can also be found
in the on-line support at:

Thanks!

This is the type of direct, simple and honest response that
makes everyone happy. No software is perfect, and the best
way to deal with the shortcomings is to admit them.
My respects to you!

Vic...err, Santa.
