Combined Community Codec Pack - CCCP

In this review, of the Mercalli Easy Video Stabilizer, the reviewer suggests installing the Combined Community Codec Pack as he claims it is less intrusive than the K-Lite Codec pack.

Does any one have any experience with this and its impact on Sony Vegas?

The simple answer would be don't install anything that hasn't been proven, but I'm looking for someone who has actually installed this package.

Looking at the included codec list here, it looks like if you have Vegas + DVDA you already have those.

Codec packs can create havoc with Vegas because in addition to the one codec you need, you also likely replace the good Vegas codecs with inferior ones.
