Combining two video streams, integrating shapes..how?

Hi, in V4, what's the easiest way to overlay a specific defined shape from one video stream on top of a second video stream?

Example, if I wanted to overlay a car racing (only) from one video stream, on top of a second (scenery) video stream, how would that be done?

I'd think that a simple video event pan/crop would just do a square/rectangle, instead of a custom shape -how would I get around that?

In V5 - we have the Bezier mask right? That would do it for you IF you had V5 right? I only ask this just to make sure I am on the same page with you as far as what you are trying to do.

The closest thing to "Bezier" masking in V4 would probably be the cookie cutter. But that only allows primative shapes to be cut out of the events (Rectangle / Oval). With feathering - you may be able to make it look more natural.

Alternatively if the section of video of the car is not moving all over the frame you might be able to create an overlay mask that will isolate the portion of the video you want to keep from the car. You create these masks via photoshop or something like that.
