Comments on Vegas

Nicely executed from the visual standpoint.

I dislike the copy protection used in Vegas. If this is the
kind of copy protection you will have on future versions of
all your software, I would feel very uncomfortable about
purchasing more SF software for both myself and my company.
I realize the serious reasons for the copy protection, being
a programmer myself. However, if I install a demo copy of
Vegas on my laptop and then decide to purchase and install a
permanent copy on my audio computer, I go through
registration process to get a number. Let's say my audio
computer goes down at 12:00 midnight on Sat. - how am I
supposed to re-install a copy on my laptop to finish up my
work? I hope you you have a 24 hour 7 day registration
number.

Hi Greg
I make a living off of using SF products,We have three studio's all
running Vegas Pro,Acid Pro 1.0,2.0,Sound Forge 4.5 and every plug-in
SF makes yes we've had to do re-format our systems because of
somthing that someone added, did or what ever,We have NEVER had a
problem with the copy protection on ANY SF product! You get a code in
about a min.via e-mail.
take care George Ware

To add to what George just wrote, SF has now made the process even
easier. When you get the email back, there's an attachment that will
write the necessary data to your registry by double-clicking on the
attachment's icon. This automated system requires an Internet
Connection and email on the target system, however.

Regards,
Rick Z
