Compatibility Problems Vegas with WinDVD

Hi Forums!

I solved a problem with Vegas, where Vegas was unable to create high quality rendering results. I had to set the properties of rendering to a very poor quality, cause if I did not, Vegas rendered, but the rendered mpg-File had a size of 0 Bytes.

The problem arrived since I installed WinDVD. After un-instaling, Vegas runs properly. Maybe some Codecs or something else caused a conflict or something.

So, it's just a tip from me. But if someone has in mind how to solve the problem, why not post it here. ;-)

Although I am having some minor issues with chapters and WinDVD, other than that it seems to work okay here. I'm sure I installed WinDVD after Vegas 4 but before Vegas 5 if that's any help.

Yes, installing Vegas after WinDVD would be a possibilty. But I think I'm looking for another software DVD-Player, WinDVD looks kind of suspect to me right now. ;-)

VLC from www.videolan.org seems to work ok and it's free.
