COMPOSITE TRACK PROBLEM

Hi All,

This is the problem: I have a video sequence on one track, I add another track above and select a section to place an overlay effect on that section only...I select the appropriate composite. Why is the whole track underneath effected? I only want a specific section to have that effect. I am sure that this has not happened before...Any help would be appreciated...Coffeebean

In this situation i usually use 3 tracks. Track 1 is the overlay and track 3 contains the bulk of the video. I'll split the event on track 3 at the beginning and end of the overlay section and then move that piece to track 2. Tracks 1 and 2 then become a parent/child pair.
