Compressing videos

I'm trying to render the video to my hard drive, but I need the file to be no larger than 100mb. Most of my files I am rendering to my hard drive are atleast over 1G. How do I render it smaller without distorting the quality too much especially compressing it to 100mb? I'm trying to post it to You tube and it's not rendering it small enough.

Laudanum, please provide more information; such as the length of the video and the format of the video at 1 gig.

Have you taken a look at YouTube's recommendations for video format for uploading at: http://www.youtube.com/t/howto_makevideo

While the like MPEG4, I'm pretty sure that WMV is an acceptable format. The important thing is to go to 320x240 and keep the bitrate as low as possible while maintaining overall quality.
