COMPUTER/ DVD QUESTION?? Please help...

I would like to use software called Flip Album Pro (http://www.flipalbum.com) and burn a project to dvd.

The Flipalbm folks claim it isn't possible to burn a flipalbum project to dvd. It needs a windows enviroment to run. It is possible to send a flip album (on autoflip) to vhs. So, doesn't it stand to reason that I can import it back in and use VV3 & / or mydvd to mpeg2 it and burn it to dvd???

Also, it seems like there should be a way to cut the vhs step...

The flipalbum techs aren't much help. I am to look for the dvd option in "the next major upgrade."

Thanks-
jackie

Does flipalbum offer an export to AVI, MPEG, or WMV formats? If so, you could import one of these (.avi is far preferred) into Vegas and create the DVD compliant MPEG-II file.

I'm also not sure what benefits flipalbum gives you. If you're just looking for some nice transition features, you could use Vegas to begin with to create the video. The page peel transitions are really nice for stills and are quite customizable. There are tons of other transitions available too.

Unfortunately, flipalbum doesn't export to anything. I use it to burn cds. It is good in that it offers a "no print" encryption option and an expiration option.

It differs from VV3 page peeling transitions in that it really does look like a book. (Customizable covers etc. There is a little icon type pic in the right hand corner http://www.flipviewer.com/view/?opfurl=http://www.fliplibrary.com/opf/FlipAlbum_Sampler.opf )

Thanks for your reply,
